New Estate Management win service charges for Leaseholders!
New Estate Management have been helping Leaseholders challenge the service charges that were being levied by their landlord after years of trying to get information about the service charges that were being paid.
This resulted in an application to the First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) where we represented the Leaseholders. The Tribunal decided that the Landlord had failed to comply with various parts of the Lease and had been overcharging on service charges.
Included in the overcharges was an insurance commission which the landlord paid to himself!
In total the Leaseholders have recovered over £2500 each!! This will hopefully mean service charges also reduce now the Landlord has realised that he can't just add sums to the service charge to pay himself.
A fantastic win and early Christmas present for the leaseholders of Jordean Court!!
